Ayesha Kamal Khan | This Is Temporary

Ayesha Kamal Khan presents us with notions of ownership, privacy and presence. Architectural structures, once deemed temporary, have taken on a permanence that supersedes even that of its inhabitants. Industrial zones by their very nature are exclusionary, constantly redefining space and the role that it plays. She questions how much of the representation of space is created by the viewer, distorting perception by creating a delicate, and often surreal interplay between the domestic and the industrial.

Ayesha Kamal Khan carries a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi (2011). Her work has been exhibited in Pakistan and the United Kingdom. She lives and works in Islamabad.
