Bahrain: Art & Architecture Program

April 8th 2010 to April 11th 2010

In conjunction with the opening of “Convex: A New Perspective”, an exhibition of works by Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa at the Bahrain National Museum, a culmination of over 12 years of work, Cuadro Fine Art Gallery organized a four-day cultural tour of Bahrain aimed at patrons, collectors journalists and artists.

The tour was an introduction that celebrated the depth of diversity that makes Bahrain a pioneer in terms of the creation, presentation and preservation of art and architecture. It explored elements from as far back as 2,300 BC to the present with visits to contemporary art spaces, archaeological sites and historical homes.  Attendees also  met the individuals behind these noteworthy initiatives.

Sites visited included The Shaikh Ibrahim Center, The Bin Matar Building, The Ibrahim Al Arrayedh House, La Fontaine Center of Contemporary Art, The Bahrain Fort Museum and The National Museum.
